The NewMen’s Ministry of IBC Stuttgart
Our men’s ministry at IBC is based on 2 Corinthians 5:17 where it says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” The purpose of this ministry is to encourage men to realize who they are in Christ and to live out their identity in this world. We have a variety of opportunities throughout the year for men to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ as well as find fellowship with other men on the way.
Men’s Breakfast
The last Saturday of each month is NewMen’s Prayer Breakfast at 8.30am in the fellowship hall downstairs in IBC church. We encourage each other through the study of God’s Word build trust and accountability through sharing our lives with one another. Currently we read together in the book ´Disciplines of a Godly Man´ by Howard Hughes.
Men’s Bible Study
What is a Christian? What does it look like? How is it supposed to act? More importantly, how do I become a mature man of God?
Starting on Tuesday, January 24th from 18.00-20.00h in the Drees Building (across the street from IBC church) Chris Ireland will lead a 12 week study on the book of James. Come and learn what God says to us through James on how to grow and mature in our faith in Christ. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16b.
Free Men’s Fraternity
FMF is a new discipleship ministry for men at IBC, led by Manfred Vick. It is designed to provide a space where men can get together to encourage and mentor one another as they seek to live life spiritually, honorably, and authentically. FMF meets on Wednesdays in the Drees Building.
Pray, Serve, And Play
Not only do we spend time in God’s Word, we also have opportunities throughout the year to live it out. Through out the year we get together for fun, like enjoying a great restaurant or watching a football game, as well as service projects like painting the church or helping someone move. The highlight each year is the January winter conference in Lenk, Switzerland. No matter who you are or where you are from there is something for you!
